Which sub would be better??

Ok so right now I have a kenwood kfc-w3013 in a 1.83 ported box tuned to 34. My budget isnt very big, around 120, but I wanna upgrade my sub. My options right now are:

Sundown Audio E12

Soundqubed hds212

Alpine type S 12

If you guys know of any other good subs for around that Id appreciate it

Yeah the e12 is 120 and the soundqubed is 99

I'm a big sundown fan, but I would pick the soundqubed based on your buget. You'll get about the same performance for 20 dollars less

800 would be fne, just listen for distortion. Turn it down if it sounds bad

The hds2 is the way to go I have run 1k daily on the hds212 with great results . I love sd stuff but on your budget sq is the way to go.. I have run both the eseries and the hds2 and they both sound great but the hds2 will take a lil more power.. Sq gets the nod on this one hands down

Sounds like Im going with the SQ then.. Do you guys happen to know the box specs? I havent been able to find them

So I was looking at the hds3 12 which is like 50 dollars more, would it be worth to buy that one instead? Im sure I can come up with the money if its worth it

As for the enclosure, I'd message sound qubed and ask but 2 to 2.5 cubes tuned around 35 is what they recommend.

I migh aswell upgrade to the hds3 series then. So they both basically need the same box, I was thinking around 2.5 tuned to 32 or 33

Always buy over what you need if you can!!! That way when you run accross that "I cant live without it amp" your good or....closer to good

I would definitely go with the SoundQubed sub. You get the most bang for your buck from them.

Its been a while since you posted on the thread? Did something happen?

also, A properly powered HDS3 in 2.5cu feet hits hard. Trust me! Its my setup lol and its definitely a budget system if you look at the big picture!
