Which Sub? HDC315 vs. SA NS v.2 vs. DD3515

Been about 4 years since I had a system, and I'm desperately wanting a decent setup again.

My previous setup was a 15" Fi BL fully loaded on a sundown 1500 @ 2ohm. I enjoyed it, but this time I'm looking for a bit more..Been doing some research but with all the new brands and companies, I need some help. Depending on the sub I get, I will either go with a sundown 1500 or AQ1200/2200.

Been looking at an AQ HDC315, sundown NS, or maybe a DD3515. Looking to spend about $700 for Amp & Sub.

Let me know which I should go with, or if you have any other suggestions for a sub that handles about 1200-2000rms.Will go in a ported enclosure to subs specs, in an 02' Explorer.

Sundown Nightshade

Nightshade destroys the other 2 easily.. Nightshades are a little harder to find now, unless going used. The zv3 would probably be an even better choice with the power you have. That would still be a much better option than the others..

I agree the Zv3 would be best. I'd look at the incriminator audio death penalty as well.

Wow the nightshade that good huh? Well alright then sundown it is. So with that sub ill need at least 2K rms+ ?

Or would it do okay on 1500?

It will sound just fine off 1500...but it will be able to handle quite a bit more power. Just make your box efficient.

Maybe that wasnt a fair comparison between those subs...being as the nightshade is more expensive

I mean the Ns v2 goes for around 550 or so, so unless your looking to spend only 200 on an amp then def go with the nightshade!

Could I maybe find a used nightshade v2 for 400?
