Which should I go with?

I'm looking for a system to enjoy the performance, clarity of my music, not just loud bass. I'm stuck between getting this sub woofer that has an amp built in http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=51000&i=500PLT5&tp=114

or this that I would need to get a seperate amp with but is cheaper

which would be easier to install, would the performance be that different?

I'm new to all this so all feedback and help is appreciated!

BTW i drive a 1991 Honda CRX so it is a pretty small cabin.

alright thanks, i was leaning towards the alpine to begin with so i don't have to hassle with setting up 2 amps

Why would you need two amps?

Id stay away from both of them. For that price you can do wayyy better

Any reccomandations? I figure id need a mono amp, and a 4 channel amp because 5 channel amps are expensive!!

Oh you are getting speakers as well?

Whats your budget.

And that sub has an amp built in so you would still technically be running two amps

yah i already have a hu, and am going to go with alpine 6.5' for both front and back,

If you are going to be getting an amp to power them then id go with componenet speakers.

alright thanks for all your help. I think im going to get components for the rear, and the ones i posted above for the front, not sure about amp and sub yet

2 RE Audio RE10 or RE12 subwoofers, about $120-$140 shipped for both (http://www.audiosavings.com), plus a box ($100?)

Hifonics BXi606 600w x 1 @ 1 ohm subwoofer amp, $130 from http://www.millionbuy.com

Hifonics TXi6008 150w x 2 @ 4 ohm component speaker amp, $140 from http://www.millionbuy.com

That comes to about $600. That leaves a little for wiring. http://www.knukonceptz.com has good, inexpensive wiring kits.
