When Setting the gains.. I know I know

Okay, I know there is a new gain thread like everyday but I still am not sure about a few things.

On my HU, there is a Subwoofer adjusment feature, and an equalizer. (Also the normal bass adjustment.)

So my question is when setting the gain on my amplifier, do I set all of these features to "0"?

One more question, if my gain is set correctly, then I can adjust the equalizer and subwoofer adjusment on the HU how ever I want, without a worry of clipping, correct?

Incorrect. You increase those settings/eq after you set your gains and you're altering the preout voltage... You can go down from where you've set but not up...

Ill be using a DMM to set the gains, I just wasnt sure about these settings. Thanks though, learned a bit.

Actually it would be best, b/c even w/ a DMM. You 'could' still be clipping.

I used a DMM to set my gains on my 1200Ds. Each 34.6v AC for 1200rms, but w/ an oscope I found I can go upto 41.3v AC @ 1ohm each before they start to clip.
