What's a good crossover?

I need a crossover/equalizer to control either 5 or 7 channels in my car. I never knew this until now but, my pioneer HU makes the HPF control the subwoofer too...im pretty sure it never did this before but i guess it does

therefore, my mids are playing notes lower than I want them too, and therefore they pop.

now, to fix this i increase my hpf to 125, but then I have no bass...if i want bass i want around 50, but if i do that the speaker cones are getting really rammed

therefore I keep it at 80 for now, but I still don't like the fact that my speakers are playing lows

What's a good crossover/equalizer so I can keep the hpf low to hear the bass, but keep the mids from playing low notes?

dude your 7600 should have that. i think you have it wired backwards

Are your sub RCA's connected to the sub out RCA's on the HU? You should have a non-fading LPF and level that will only be for that pair of RCA's. Check the manual...

I was just looking at the manual online, you have a non fading and subwoofer output. Your HPF cutting bass to the subs means you hooked your sub RCA's to either the Front or Rear RCA. Need to hook it to the Sub or non fading ones....

Maybe something is wrong then

because I just realized one of my speakers also isn't working, I haven't yet tested the RCA...but when I signaled my balance to play left speakers only, all 6 speakers and their tweeters stopped playing..

then on normal that one speaker stops playing but will play when the balance is partially left

I did check though and my subwoofer RCA was indeed hooked up to the subwoofer outputs

so I dunno, I'm stumped :/

I just realized something

my cd player portion is a premier 760 but the faceplate is a pioneer 7600

would that matter? I'm pretty sure they should be compatible, i even remember a 6600 working with the cd changer
