whats a cheaper but same quality sub that can go toe to toe with type r 12
Think of support beams inside a building. Structural integrity is important in a subwoofer enclosure too. With 3 12s, you'll need a double baffle and a lot of bracing and proper port area. Does the guy have pictures of his work? can we see?
40 is the width, which one is the height? 24 or 25?

truck or trunk?

You can build one real easy man, as easy as glueing 4 sides of wood making a cube and then cutting holes and adding the subs. The port part will be easy too since i'll make it an aeroport design with a sonotube. Basically a square box with 4 holes.

Big cuts are done by home depot/lowes and then get some titebond II wood glue and some screws. Glue and screw.

pm me your email, I got it in a picture file if you want it in that format, otherwise...

Here it is.

8 cubic feet net, tuned to 34.5 hz For the port, use the one i linked you in the earlier post, just cut that thing down to size and glue to the wood, make sure its sealed tight

24.5 H, 40 Width, 20 depth

but i dont want it to take up my whole trunk, i want space for the spare tire and small things i it to fit like this but a little less the size

ok now we have a problem i might be having to lessen the sub box size because i might be having another mouth to feed and with that comes needing more truck space
the subwoofer box i used to have was this Ground Shaker GSP312 12" Triple Ported Subwoofer Enclosure Box GSP 3 12 Black | eBay

and it left me with reasonable room in trunk, would it be smart to get a custom box made with the same Measurements
if thats the case man, shoulda only bought two instead of 3, Would have been louder with two in a proper box. Space makes bass man, No space = no bass. You are better off running two at this point since thats all the room you have. You can try trading the 3rd one for a custom box.

FYI, I just got a FU audio 12 too for my buddie's build, came in yesterday. Did some testing They dont do well in sealed boxes which is the only box you can do if want to run 3. Its going into a 1.6 cubic feet ported box tuned to 35hz tomorrow on 1.2k watts. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Was the ground shaker box perfect fit? Or can you squeeze in a few inches somewhere?
