Whats enough

I'm looking at getting 2 DD audio 2508 and running them on a 3k amp along with a audiocontrol 4 channel 800 watt for mids and highs. I am looking into a 400 amp alternator as well as an XS D3100 with the big 3......will this be enough electrical?

This system sounds powerful! Please keep an eye on your electrical needs, and let me know if you have specific questions about setup or components.

This is going into a 2500 silverado so there's not a lot of room in the cab. This is why I was thinking about a secondary battery. I would like to do lithium but won't have the space.

Silverado has premium sounds. 2 amps or bi-amping may be even harder to wire. The wiring they make for you to fit a din in your Silverado may actually not work with the specific amp wiring. Until you try it out, it’s hard to tell if these setups will work because it looks good. Plus the truck is made for power running. Now you have bi-amping done to get good music. Trial and error. That’s the way this will be approached. I doubt it will work on the first attempt. But if you have the time to do it, then good luck.

Lithium is used for EV. Just use a lead-sulfuric acid-water base battery. Gas cars. The battery for the second amp is hard to wire. Conventional flow, so you will need to connect the second battery in series with the first battery. 12 volts charged. This setup is the hardest part to tackle. You ground one terminal, then figure where the + volts go to on the second amp, connected to the first amp. That way in series, the second battery is used at the same time the first battery is charged. So connect the alternator to the second battery to charge it also.

Because nothing will happen if you just connect the second battery to one amp. No electric will flow. Not give any extra volts to say it plainly. Conceptually on the second battery there has to be at least an equal amount of - supply voltage 12 volts to create a forward bias movement of electric into the second amp.

Good luck to starting this project.

I have a strong 3k amplifier.

My alternator is 150A, stock it was 100A.
80 AH agm battery.

My voltage is fine and stays above 13v. I can start vibrating my car pretty hard, sounds like ****. Everything is vibrating. Voltage stays up.

Lol that's good to know. Thanks.
