Help me with subs in my silverado

I have a 2011 Silverado 1500 extended cab. It has the Bose system but I'm trying to upgrade the subwoofer in it. This is what I had in mind

Either

2 ported 8's

2 sealed 10's or shallow mount 12's

1 very good quality 10 or 12 in a ported box

For the 8's I was thinking sundown sa

For the 10's I was thinking alpine type s

For the 12 I was thinking a major brand shallow mount or a l7 if I can get the right box.

Does anybody have any of these configurations? What would sound the best and give me the most bass? I listen to mostly hip hop and electronic. I am replacing the head unit with a double din pioneer and planned on keeping the stock Bose door speakers for now.

Sundown sa wouldn't fit in there so I was going to do alpine type r

What do you think?

Custom box would be great. I had a Sundown SA8v2 and loved it!

Or ported? I have someone to make a custom box for the sa's for 225$

Two ported tens would be about the max you could get by with under those seats for a pair,or two ported 12s(down fire ported)..Neighbor runs a pair of XFL 10s in Bazooka tubes and swapps with a single Down fire ported enclosure for an Audio Technix Strato 12 and both get down pretty good.We modified the 12" prefabbed ported enclosure just a little bit(like 3/4" cap) for the magnet clearance and it still fit under the rear drivers side seat just fine without noticing or feeling any difference when sitting in the rear bench, and we stacked the amps on the passengers side under the seat.He runs the American Bass VFL 26801 d,and the American Bass VFL 1504.The 4 ch on the bottom and the Sub amp on top.When running the XFLs, there is room to move them easily behind the seat.He moves them around when swapping subs in and out,Takes him like 30 min. if that

So your saying 1 good 10" woofer in a ported enclosure would be better then 2 ported 8's?

do you want to have a custom box built , or buy something pre-fabricated

if it was me i would have one built , at least PM cscstang and ask him what your options are , and what he would charge

he prices are very reasonable
