Year and model on the car ? Your not suppose to mix non AGM batteries with AGM so you'll be better off just putting a single one under the hood (hopefully your car can support a decent size)

Unless i'm mistaken (this is my interpretation from what i've read), the 2nd battery is powered by running a wire from the 1st battery (hood battery) to the 2nd battery so yes that would matter (a non AGM battery would be sending a current to an AGM battery). You could screw with a battery isolator but you'd still have a crappy battery under the hood + that would cost you more money.

Just buy a good group 34 battery (Die hard platinum, Battery plus XS series Group 34, XS D3400......ect) with a good charger and be done with it (big 3 will also have to be done).

That is literally the easiest thing to do (trunk battery is going to require an AGM in the front and back, wiring from the front to back with possible isolator and a charger).

Or you could just get a group 34 under the hood with charger and be done with it

Crown victoria comes with a stock 135A alternator so that plus a good battery under the hood should be good for a daily driver (you won't be able to blast the Q2200 like crazy but it should still get loud enough to rattle your brain)

Normally its not advised and it "shortens" the life of your batteries but plenty of people do it often with no repercussions at all. I've done it with my corolla's duralast gold and several kinetik batteries in the trunk no problem. Mines was an 80 amp alt, even smaller than yours and it ran a 2k fine for a few years before i got my high output alt in.

got the box built? Also make sure to go to autozone or something and test and put an actual load to the battery to make sure its good.

You did everything right except the most important part bro... prebuilt boxes gonna make the system hit weak and sound like sh*t Can't you just try and build it yourself? its easy man. I'll even design you a box. Give me your Depth x Width x height of your trunk.

Your 3 12s in a prebuilt box will hit as hard as an 8 in a custom enclosure.

Its a lot easier than you think, it just sound challenging but its easy as solving a 12 piece kids puzzle. If you do go with craigslist, link us the craigslist ad and run it by us, we can check the work and price and see if its good or not.

Serious though, let me know your trunk measurements.
