What sub would best match my amp

For the market, ya maybe.
I own both as well as a 3512 and hdc312. (just sold a few days ago)

IMO and in my applications the 2500 is much better vs the sdc.

Now the hdc will take far more power vs the 2500 but with the power he has listed, IMO the 2500 is a better match.

Now if budget is of a concern, the AQ's are a great choice as they do preform very good especially for the $$$ spent.

The DD's, imo, are just on another level and just that much better. Please do not get me wrong, the AQ's are a very good sub

and I do like the few that I have or have had.

All just my opinions....

DD is on another level, but with 1200rms to one sub I favor the HDC to take the beating a bit better. Not saying the other options won't, and if you narrow down to DD/AQ for choices you will not go wrong no matter what.

thank god someone isn't off DD's nuts either. I was confused at comparing the DD2500 series to the HDC3s.

Now that I think about it, that is a good idea. Most people will not have things set correctly(gains, boost ect) so having a tad tougher sub will not hurt!!

op, if your really looking into the AQ then talk to pro-rabbit.

I just felt the opinions were weighing over DD with facts to point to the HDC3 to be the better choice. I don't own any of these and I don't automatically recommend things just because I run it.

so it sounds like it has been determined that i should go with DD or the AQ but with DD i heard about the 2500 series or the 3500 series which should i go with if i decide not to go with the HDC AQ sub and thx for all the input

i will just put it this way, if sub A and sub B have close if not the same specs, rms, and known to be stout subs and sub A is made in china and sub B is made in the U.S, then i will pick sub B.

as far as the 2500 vs the 3500..

With your amp either will be good but the 3500 will take the power better and then some.

The 2500 will do that power fine but you will need to use care. The 3500 will take that and more without breaking a sweat.

Of course the 2500 is much cheaper vs the 3500 but you can find good deals on used if you shop around.
