but will 4 8's ported be louder then 2 10" alpine type r's because i want to gain spl thats pretty much the whole reason of redoing my setup

when building a ported box, say you wanted the subs to have 1 cube of air space

do you have to have 1 cube of air PLUS the volume for the port also?
