what size drill/grommet should be used for a 0/1 guage wire run-thru??? or whats is the CLOSEST... thanks in advance

I would suggest going to home depot and picking up some grommets. They come in a variety pack and you can choose the best size for the 0/1 gauge wire. From then you can choose the right drill bit. When I drilled miine I made it as small as possible. I put some lithium on the cable so it would slide through the grommet easily. You can also get exactly the right size from Knukonceptz or any of the other wiring companies or your local car stereo shop. They might charge you $.50 for one. Stinger makes a really nice grommet that seals air and water tight. It needs a 1" hole. The drawback is that they are $6 each from sounddomain.

A few drops of Astroglide will help you feed the wire through. I know you knew that Astroglide was developed for NASA for the exact purpose of being a water based, nonreactive lubricant for running wire through conduit.
