he's a newb and asked me to post this for him.
right now he has a AVIC D1 feeding two amps to some nice focals and 2 12'' MB quart subs, simple basic bottom of the line subs from MB 5 years ago. they take like 300rms each and are in a sealed prefab box. sitting in the trunk of a G35 sedan. he also is underpowering the subs by about 100rms each.
he wants two things:
more bass
less space taken up
i suggested making a custom box/face plate and a single 15'' or 18'' as it's going to be hard to taken up less space and be louder imo. i know an Fi 18'' Q will fit in 4 cubed sealed and his prefab box is 3 cubes. so assuming i make the box to fit his car i should be able to save space even going up 1 foot cubed on the box...
any suggestions? the other thing i thought of was seal off the sides and put one sub on each side but wouldn't that not be the best?
edit: i guess two sealed 12'' ARGHs and a hifonics in a custom box would work too...
