LV4 w/ LV5 coilsNobody said they weren't great subs but for the money AQ is the better sub, period. Name a sub you can get that can take 2k of clean watts for around 275?
Edit: It's actually a little more than $275 I think so nevermind.

Yep that's the tuning I'd use. I've built several tuned to 35Hz and they'll murder on the lows and only give up a little up top which he won't notice.sorry this is off topic, but i reccomended that my buddy get his box tuned to 35 hz for his 15' HDC3 and the box is being made. Is 35 hz too low for a 15" HDC3. It'll be in about 4 cubes with 66 sqaure inches of port area. The guy i'm getting all this for listens to nothing but rap. Will 35 hz work well?
mmm. If you're gonna run just around 1000 watts to it, 3.5 is pretty small for a 15" HDC3. My box is around 4.5 and it took the power out of my 1200D like it was nothing. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty loud.....just got louder with more power.i can get a used dc lvl 4 15" for around 200 maybe less.... i can get the hdc3 new for 289 shipped and could possibly find a used one around the forums for less..... this is gunna be tough lol
what would be a recomended enclosure size for the AQ? i can get a 3.5 ^3ft in my trunk probably a little more....
either one would be ran off of a AQ 1200d or a sundown saz 1000d....
