Damm fine question. I heard of one guy in my area running the DCs. I haven't heard his setup, but i believe he won a trophy in one show we did. The HDCs I know what they are capable of. Thorshammer has run both, but I believe he was using some 10s though. I think it's worth it to ask him. I think Pioneersaturn has used both as well.

Hdc3's take more power from what i understand, and are probably cheaper or right around the same price as lvl4's. Lvl4xl's would be more comparable to hdc3's I would assume.

they cost about the same new, but i can get a lvl 4 used locally for pretty cheap....

the dc lv4 would be good up to 1500w now the 4xl with lv5 coils i know can take 2500w-3000w daily each and 6-8kw on a burp the dc do get low and sound great doing it all depends on what your trying to do.

the AQs like to be tuned between 37-40 hz and you will have the best performace out of them in that tuning range. so if your dead set on a 32 hz tuning then id say DCs. otherwise the AQ for sure

i have a lv4 xl 12 on a dd m3 tuned at 38zh and it slams daily i also have 4 dc lv4xl 12s on 2 ab 500.1s daily and they subs rock great cooling they get low and no vc smell with all that power.
