what should i do

Kicker zx2500.1 about $600 shipped on ebay.

Soundstream PCA2000D about $400 shipped on ebay, but this amp only does 1500w @ 2 ohms.

I'm guessing if you want two amps, they would have to put out 900w at 4 ohms, not 2 ohms. I don't think you'll find anything in that price range that will put out that kind of power at 4 ohms.

well i have the Sounstream 1500D already it's just not enough, im affraid the 2000D wont be either. also i have two Soundstream T-5 12's they are Dual 2 ohm voice coils. so i need to run @ 2 ohms, correct?

If they are 2 ohm DVC, then they can be wired to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm each, but not 2 ohm. It should be easier to find an amp that can do 900w @ 1 ohm.

How about you just add a second amp that can do 900w @ 1 ohm? The Soundstream PCA1500D that you already have can do 1500w @ 1 ohm, just turn the gain back a bit for 900w. And get a second PCA1000D for under $300 shipped on ebay for the second sub, it'll do 1000w @ 1 ohm.

Edit: Or get a second PCA1500D, so you have matching amps, for about $50 more

If you could find an Orion 2500 you would be good. They so 1700-1800 @ 2ohms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you wire them together, they can be 8 ohm, 2 ohm, or .5 ohm.

You could certainly go with one of those amps. However, if you added a second 1500D, you'd get a lot more power, for less money. The down side is, more trunk real estate is consumed.

Remember though, if you double the power, you only get a maximum 3dB increase in sound. Since you currently are giving them about 1100w, going to 1700w might not be enough of an increase to be truly worth the effort. Hard to say for sure though.

However, adding a second 1500D, and giving each sub 1100w, for a total of 2200w, would be noticable, and worth the effort. I know the subs are rated for 900w, but they can handle 1100w, as long as you're not playing at maximum volume for prolonged periods. And even then, it would probably be fine.

to give them 1100W on my 1500D id have to wire them @ 2 ohm which i have them "both" at right now. but if i cant run them individually at 2 ohms id have to either run them at 800w @ 4 ohm or 1500 @ 1ohm. on this amp i got now if i bought another. I'm still very new at this so i don't know all the options i have to wiring subs.

You would wire them individually at 1 ohm. The amp is capable of putting out up to 1500w @ 1 ohm, but you don't have to use all available power. You can turn the gains down so it's only putting out 1100w, or 1000, or 900, etc.

I forgot to ask this before, but can your electrical system handle two of those amps? What size of power wire have you run? Have you done the "Big 3"? What kind of battery do you have?

That Lanzar amp has the power you're looking for, but I'm skeptical of an amp with that much power for so cheap. It's probably made very cheaply and will probably break. Maybe check for some reviews on it.

i found one and the guy seemed to like it. i sent him a PM to see if his feelings were the same. Ive always been a firm believer in "you get what you pay for"
