If you wire them together, they can be 8 ohm, 2 ohm, or .5 ohm.
You could certainly go with one of those amps. However, if you added a second 1500D, you'd get a lot more power, for less money. The down side is, more trunk real estate is consumed.
Remember though, if you double the power, you only get a maximum 3dB increase in sound. Since you currently are giving them about 1100w, going to 1700w might not be enough of an increase to be truly worth the effort. Hard to say for sure though.
However, adding a second 1500D, and giving each sub 1100w, for a total of 2200w, would be noticable, and worth the effort. I know the subs are rated for 900w, but they can handle 1100w, as long as you're not playing at maximum volume for prolonged periods. And even then, it would probably be fine.
