What should I do?

Ok so I have a 2001 F-150 reg cab. Right now I have a crappy Rockford Punch Stage 1. It cannot handle anything and sounds very muddy. What can I get around $100 that will sound much better? I am thinking Alpine type R but it may be too deep for the box. Also I was looking at the kicker CVT 10" shallow mount. What do you all think? Will either of those be much better? Thanks.

Find out how much room your box has depth wise and how many cubic feet and then go from there. Put you box dimensions into this website and it will give you a good idea of what you have to work with. In most trunks like that you will need a shallow sub that works well in smaller boxes.

Thanks for that link, I just looked at the box and I dont think anything over 6" deep is going to fit. In that case would a Kicker CVT 10" shallow be a big upgrade over the Punch Stage 1?
