Polyfill...

persanelly ive used it in a sealed box before and it did wonders for me, i just added a bit at a time till i likedhowit sounded not to sure how to find out exactly how much to add

ya polyfill helps out when box is to small ive only used it a couple of times, and when box is to small it does help, pretty much had to pack the box with polyfill and be pushed the subs back in against the polyfill to screw them back in the box, but made a world of a differnce that time it was needed.

also might want to check cross over settings, and box is tuned to, ect ect..

The sound wave coming off the back of your subwoofer reacts with the air contained in the box. Poly-Fil stuffing slows down sound waves inside the box, making the subwoofer perform as if the box were bigger. Use 1 to 1-1/2 pounds of Poly-Fil per cubic foot of box volume, I've also heard that it should be around 50% of the enclosure volume.

figured out the problem, besides subs being brand new, the bass boost was cranked on my amp and didnt know it, and the lpf was all the way up. Sounds great now!

good to hear

enjoy it sounding good now, and when subs break in more you will enjoy it even more
