What should i do??

I was reading old threads and found that you can overpower speakers if you have in consideration the hp on x-over i want to make my speakres sound loud, i have alpine sps-170A 40W RMS and want to know if anybody have overpower this or what rms do you recommmend me to send and what freq put the x-over, or should i stay the way i am??

try sending more to them... if they start to distort, they cant take no more.

Crossing it over higher is likely just going to make a bigger gap between the sub frequencies and midbass frequencies. If you want louder, either just buy some extra tweeters, or upgrade the speakers. I personally would not raise the x-over point, just to be able to send more power to them.

And what are your Bass/Treble/EQ settings on your HU at now?

bass and treble are at 0 and EQ is with a preset EQ for rock.
