What should I do for my new system?

I have been bassless for the past year and enough is enough! Getting ready to purchase Alpine PDX 1.600 and Alpine SWR1222 D. Any comments, suggestions on this? Is this a good choice? Does anyone have any suggestions of anything better in the same price range? Heres the kicker! Its going in a single cab truck!Thanks in advance.

can definitely put more than 600 on the driver. can get a hifonics for less than that price that will double your power at 1ohm. i dont even think that alpine will even do better than 600 at 2ohm.

Why are you looking at only alpine? what else are you running?

No particular reason just have always had good luck out of alpine in the past. Where can you buy DD's online or can you?

1. Holy shit you went over a year with no bass? I just got done putting my sub back in...it's been about a month and I was going insane I can't imagine a year, lol

2. I love alpine subs. Had 2 Type R's in a ported box and it slammed. Downsized to just one of em in a sealed box and it's still pretty **** loud. I agree! I think on the amps you are mostly buying the name and not the product. Yeah I had the SWR-1042D a time ago and loved it. And I dont know how I have been able to manage...its been tough lol.
