What gauge for voice coils?

I'm still not sure what gauge wire I should be using to wire everything inside my box for my Brahma. I have 8, 10, and 12 gauge wire here now.

8ga for looks.

12ga would work just the same.

So 12 would be fine then? I have 8 gauge to run from my amp to the terminal, but the 8 is too big for the voice coils. I think the 10 I can get to fit, so I'll try that first, and if not, I'll just go with the 12. Just wanted to make sure that the 12 would be ok since it'd be going from 8 -> 12.

Yup, you'll be fine.

Now my only other question is should there be 1 wire run straight through to the other coil or should there be 2 wires, one into the first coil, then the other stacked from the first coil running to the second? Or does it just not matter? Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated.

Single wire is fine. Depending on your ohm configuration you may need to run 2 seperate wires. That is fine.

That's what I'll be doing. And just to make clear what I was asking, 'wire' refers to only say the positive wire, and then the same would be done for the negative. So I can either run the wire right through, stripping the part where it would run through the first coil contact, or just solder 2 together and run it straight in then back out.

Same thing.

I just used two shorter wires to connect the + + and - - together. Then two long ones to the amp. But you can strip the part going in the VC terminal.
