well I've got my head unit installed but theres 2 problems. There are only 2 wires left on my headunit: the power antenna wire, and some wire that says mute. I cant figure out where either wire goes. I installed my head unit and everything works except I cant receive radio signals.(I'm guessing thats because I cant figure out where to wire the power antenna wire). Baically can someone please help me figure where to wire the power antenna wire and the mute wire on my head unit. Its a Pioneer 8600mp if that helps.

its a 1998 toyota camry. I've got everything installed and it working perfect except there is no radio signal. I just get the buzzing. So i'm guessing i have to wire the antenna to my head unit? there is no power antenna wire on the harness

yea but i dont know where the antenna is. I dont remember unplugging one from the factory unit. what does it look like.

Fat black wire, the fattest one.... usually.

I just ripped the unit back out and gave it a look. the fattest wire i could find was the power wire that plugs into the unit. I'm going to go give it another go but I am almost certain I've looked everywhere. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.......

yes all cars have antenna wires so just look for it. is your antenna a stick antenna or did it use to raise and lower with your stock system? that willdetermine whether you need to use the power antenna wire, as for the mute that would be used to cut the radio when your carphone rings if you had that type of setup.

there is one wire left on the headunit wires. It says system remote control. Does the power antenna wire wire to that??? I've look everywhere for this big black antenna wire and ripped out half my dash. so what is this system remote control wire???
