what do you suggest... looking for new subs

Hello, I have posted a couple of threads regarding w6's but I am putting subs in my 87 chevy truck and wanted some advice.

I am hoping for good sq but would like to get loud to. I have a ppi pc1400(mono block) to power them, underrated at 400@4 ohms and 800@2ohms . The biggest box I could make to fit is 54"wide, 14"tall, 8" for bottom depth, and 4" for top depth. I figure I might be able to get almost a cube and a half per chamber. The bad part is I will only have about 5" to 5 1/4" of mounting depth.

run a single sub in a ported box, thats your best hopes for the output your looking for, or you could do a couple 8w3s, look at the kicker cvx 12 if you can fit it, its cheap and has been getting alot of praise lately.

I dont know if you saw the other threads I have posted but I have a guy offering me 3 10"w6v1's for my 2 12"w6v2's (the w6v2's were to deep to fit behind the seat of my truck).

I can spend about $400, I am looking for sq but I want to be able to get loud to, I listen to allot of metal so I need to be able to keep up with fast double bass.

how do you think the w6v1's compare to the cvx's. If i was going to do three 10" cvx's wouldnt they be more power hungry?

I think you will be fine with the w6v1s

they are very efficient and get pretty loud

I kind of figured, I have seen them go on ebay for like a max of a hundred bucks.

I just wish I had more room when it comes to mounting depth.
