What do you guys think of the Iphone?

My iPhone 3G is my 4-year-olds favorite toy. He has a gene disorder (SMS) which is basically a cross between down-syndrome and autism and my phone is in his hands the second I get home form work (6 pm) until we go to bed (10pm-1am). I've had my iPhone since January and my iPod Touch since March 2008 and they both work flawlessly. I couldn't possibly imagine how one would break considering the torture my phone goes through daily.
Run over it with a tow motor and see if it still works.

It sure sounds like it. I said his cell phone was nothing special and you would have thought I was talking shit about his mother. Shit..wtf is going on.
i wasnt attacking your opinion... as i said eveyone has their own.... was just wondering why you think using a map is better than a phone?

didnt mean to "attack you" just find it crazy thats all lol.....

lawls..you guys complain about the battery life trying switching from the Sdiekicks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif 20 hours of batt was a gift....3G will last me 2 full days if I want it to.

Iphone does everything a map and yellowpages book can't. Feeling hungry want to know where the nearest mexican place is around you, or walmart? literally 30 seconds on an app and your on your way there, with step by step directions. it'd take a good 10 mins to go to a near gas station or 7/11, ask the clerk if he even would know where theres something you want it. THEN, theres having to find your current location on a map. fcuk that!

we're in the times that, everyones lazy as fcuk and the iphone fits in perfectly there. i really like my 3G my 2 biggest gripes are the sh!thole spellcheck and not being able to have 2 apps running at one time. But even that can be fixed with a jailbreak //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Because a map always works, whereas a cell phone doesn't.

But most importantly, I am more comfortable using a map and understanding all possible routes at a glance. A phone has to be manipulated and if I hit the wrong button, I lose where I am. There's nothing at all wrong with the iphone for those who prefer to use it. I don't.

The one thing I do think is neat is where you can play a song and the phone can recognize it and tell you what it is. However, that isn't worth the hundreds of dollars and the monthly fee associated with it.

I think I can get around just fine with no phone, but my employer insists that I have one.

1-800-free411 can give you turn by turn directions to wal-mart.

But you are correct...people are lazy and poor planners. As long as their are devices to help them, good. But if/when people get lost (using stupid shit life mapquest) we break out the map.
