check the sig. mpg-7-10 on 91, and well worth it. traded in a ford focus that averaged 30+ @ 80mph

Got rid of this almost 3 years ago and haven't had anything since that fits in your price criteria:
1990 Saab 900 hatchback non-turbo 5 speed manual.

Paid $5500 in mid-1998 with 65k miles.

Got avg 21 city / 27 hwy.

Liked: Very comfortable ride with very good handling and road feel. Heated seats were nice. "Love it or hate it" styling (obviously, I loved it). Phenomenal winter handling.

Disliked: Speakers are 4" dash and 4x10 rear. Luckily, I was able to mount a pair of 6x9's on the rear cargo cover which made one hell of a difference.

holy ****! lol ...we bought the same car for $200 with a european engine though. Was in the family of the people who own coca cola and they had it shipped from germany. Has all the maitenence logs from germany. Only thing wrong with it is a couple broke hoses. Had 200,000 miles on the body and a new engine put in it. AND GOT 25 MILES/GALLON

Nothing will ever beat the value of a cheap motorcycle for gas economy:

2005 Buell XB9

Paid 5k, can get older ones for alot cheaper

65mpg hwy, 50+ in town

Buy a cheap bike, keep your other ride for when you need to haul people/stuff or for shitty weather days

escort gt 30-35mpg, lol have fun finding one left..... i got 2..... last one i seen worth buying was about 3500....

96 blazer 4dr 4x4 I put 30x9.5 mud terrains on it. No matter how or where I drive I am getting 14-15 even when towing a boat.
