I Feel like thats where VW really made their mark on the auto industry!

Nothing wrong with the 8 valve, thing is a solid work horse. Practically bullet proof!

I've been driving a 2 door 2004 chevy silverado with a 5.3 in it and I have almost gone 700 miles on this tank of gas.

2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6 speed - 28-30mpg on highway, intown it depends on how I drive that day. Anywhere from 10-18 mpg.

just got back from a trip in our 1999 Toyota Avalon v6

ran ~310 miles and used ~1/2 tank

calculates between 35 and 40mpg on the highway averaging 80-85 mph

My catalytic converter broke apart about 2 months ago(inside bits were breaking off, clogging the exhaust and then shooting out the back when they got knocked loose). So Im guessing my car is running too rich?

No time and not enough money to fix it.
