Hi all newbie here, but not new to systems. I have a 22 Toyota Corolla Cross, it's like a RAV4 but smaller. I kept the stock head unit and installed all JL Audio gear. I went with a XD1000-5V2 5 channel amp, HO110-W6V3 sub enclosure(ported), C2650X component speakers in the front doors/dash and C2650 Coaxial speakers in the rear doors. I can't remember what was used to hook up the head unit to the amp, as I had it all installed at a shop I had done business with in the past. I've had it for about a year and a half now with no issues whatsoever, everything has been rock solid so far. This sub hits so hard for a 10" speaker it blows my mind. Previously I had a 99 Honda Accord with all Kicker gear hooked up to a Kenwood head unit. The JL sub blows the doors off the Kicker by far. The C2 speakers sound great, they have awesome highs and mids, and give a really clean overall sound. The amp puts out really good power with 100W per channel to the C2's and 600W to the sub. All in all it was a pricey upgrade compared to the Kicker system, but one I have found to be well worth the money. Overall I have been very impressed with the build quality of the JL components and I have absolutely no complaints about the sound quality. To say it absolutely transformed the quality of the stereo's previous sound would be an understatement. Overall it flat out rocks and rocks hard. Except for the sub enclosure everything looks factory. People are amazed when they get in my car and hear this system.
