I have seen them bulge but never that much. Sure your alternator / external regulator isnt messed up? Tho if that was the case im sure it would have been more then one battery.

According to some d|ckhole I had a big PM fight with on CAF...a rapid discharge (such as a short) can cause a battery to explode (from pressure, not spark).

I have never heard of such an anomaly, or found theory to support it, or evidence of it happening, but this person thought I was a douchebag for arguing it.

Dang, at least it didnt hurt anyone. Never seen a battery buldge that bad...

Possible internal failure from previous drop damage..
