How Good is the TV on head units?

I see some have tv tuners how clear is the tv. Do all the local channels play clear and crisp? or staticy

If you have a coverter they will still work.I had one in my vehicle.It actually worked better then regular analog,picture was clear(when it was there),no background static,and more channels.I guess it all depends where you live.

i havent been really impressed by any screens picture quaility

ive ran Eclipse,Pioneer,Kenwood and many others. They are ok but not the greatest

Even some lower end brands look decent so look around

You do relize the screen is only 7" at most.Alpine has 1.15mp screen which is the best on the market.I have a pioneer and think the quailty is much better then the alpine but thats my just me.Some of the Jenson model's also have the 1.15mp displays and seem to be alright.

As for Viewing video I suggest you get a deck that has "dual zone" capabilty so you can display a movie while using other features i.e. radio,xm,aux source whatever.Or you could just go with a satilite
