welding wire queston

ok in my car the battery is in the back, so theres only one run of power wire from the alt, to the battery out back. its a 4 gauge i believe. i want to upgrade this with a couple (at least 2) runs of 1/0. now, since my batteries are in the back, like DIRECTLY under my amps, obviously im not gonna need much 1/0 from the batterys to the amps. so ill spend the money and get some nice looking 1/0, just so it looks nice, but i already have 100 ft of this welding wire that i got like a year ago, when it was only 79 shipped for 50 feet. its a little skinnier than my friends knu konceptz 1/0, i think just becuase of the jacket around the wire strands. also, theres less strands in my welding wire than his knu konceptz. should i use the welding wire to run 2-3 runs from the alt to the batts out back, then nice 1/0 from the batts right up to the amps?

trystar.com FTW look in welding products. Expensive but flexible, a bunch of colors and you can put up to 50 characters on it. I only have car audio wire cuz I traded stuff for it.

Welding wire isn't bad.

Nope regular cable cutters. Its the same as car audio wire just not the thick jacket. Car Audio wire is all fashion.

Coppercableman and Tristar are the same company. They recently went up in price quite a bit. Also, 1/0ga welding wire is not the same size as most 1/0ga audio wire. You have to buy the 2/0ga welding wire if you want the same size as Knu Flex/ Kolossus, Kicker Hyperflex, Stinger Pro and ect.. The 2/0ga welding wire from coppercableman is almost the same price as Knu 0ga Flex.

The new place I found to buy wire from cheap is The Cable Yard. If you order over $200, they ship for free. This place is cheaper than coppercablemans new prices but you can only get black and no custom printing. If your amp was located close to your battery, you could get fancy and buy the twin 1/0ga red/ black cable and run both neg. and pos. back to the battery.
