[QUOTE="orangecounty1, post: 4207774, member: 578335"] ok in my car the battery is in the back, so theres only one run of power wire from the alt, to the battery out back. its a 4 gauge i believe. i want to upgrade this with a couple (at least 2) runs of 1/0. now, since my batteries are in the back, like DIRECTLY under my amps, obviously im not gonna need much 1/0 from the batterys to the amps. so ill spend the money and get some nice looking 1/0, just so it looks nice, but i already have 100 ft of this welding wire that i got like a year ago, when it was only 79 shipped for 50 feet. its a little skinnier than my friends knu konceptz 1/0, i think just becuase of the jacket around the wire strands. also, theres less strands in my welding wire than his knu konceptz. should i use the welding wire to run 2-3 runs from the alt to the batts out back, then nice 1/0 from the batts right up to the amps?
