I just installed subs for my cousin, they worked, she turned the car off, went to close the trunk and BOOM! the subs went off and kept going off with straight booms.
then we opened the trunk back up and closed the back door and the sub just gave a little boom.
any ideas why its doing this? I have installed a bunch of systems before and never had this problem. I am lost. The AMP will not shut off either. I had to pull the fuse from the AMP.
I have the Remote wire ran from the AMP to the fuse box and in the fuse for the Radio.
AMP ground is bolted in the rear seat bolt.
The Line Out Converter spliced into the rear driver side speaker. and that ground is just pinched in between the trunk metal. I have always done this and never had any problem.
We are using the stock headunit.
2004 Chevy Malibu.
I AM LOST.. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
