Weird Smell...

I don't even have to push my system but I get this weird smell...like burnt wood or something.

Should I be worried, is this normal...???

Wiring/Installation all looks good.

turn it down, the burnt wood smell is your system letting out some of the magic smoke. How did you set the gains of the amp? How high are you turning it up to when it starts smelling?

from what ive heard, some subs have excess glue near the voic coils, and this melts. so it might be normal. but this is the prelude to melted voice coils. so you dont wanna smell it for long.

Yes that's it...

The GAIN level on my amp is not max about 75%

The Pioneer has a max volume @ 66, I turn it up to 44.

Follow the gain setting tutorial stickied in the "amp" section......that's way too high of a gain setting
