They're more than likely clipping...how high is your gain set

What hu are you using and how high was the volume when you set the gains? The signal could could clipped going into the amp as well

2 evls and a taramp 3k 1 of the subs is new about 2 weeks old maybe

They start to smell when it drops below 13.4 volts I’m in the process of getting a new alt, I have big 3 upgrade right now

That's probably you're whole problem...you can't feed that amp and it's sending a bad signal to the subs
