Is anyone here familure with snail shell boxes? If so, do you guys think that a xxx10 in a snail shell in an extended cab S-10 would be louder than two 12s in a sealed box in a blazer?

I think that you guys think that I am going to build this myself. Which I am not. I am going to order it from http://www.powered4sound.com were they give the dimensions of their boxes which fit snugly behind the seats of my truck. I could even fit a 12 in there if I wanted.

Honestly if snail shell's were so **** good and shit so hard why arent world competators using the design ?? Im sorry but their boxes are built on a hype I looekd into myself sure they use the 1/4 length sound wave theory but this also throws to many variables into ur system it changes the boxes tuning i forgot exactly how it been a year or so since iread up on it but IMO. Hype anyway jsut have a local shop build you a reg vented box sized and tuned to RE specs for a whichever size XXX you get and u'll be happy. Snail's arent worth the money they cost.

ported is almost always louder than a sealed box. If you have to choose between the two setups, the Blazer can fit a better system and you might want to think about porting it. If you can take up the entire back of the S10, you can also fit a decent system.
