Not necessarily...some people find it better to just permanently clean bulk rather than bulk and cut.....cause lets face it cutting ****ing sucks, unless you have a super fast metabolismits always better to bulk up and then cut down. Ur gonna gain fat when ur trying to put on mass, theres no way around that....unless ur taking steroids. Ive found its easier to pack on mass, and then slowly cut down.

I've been lifting for a little under 10 months now, went on a cut for the first 4 months, went from 266 to 185, now I'm back up to 215
lifts went from
Bench 155x8 to 225 x 8
Squats 265 x 8 to 325 x 8
DL from 285 x 8 to 375 x 8
This was awhile back, about 2 months. I've gained some since then
