Weightlifters/Bodybuilders/Anyone who works out..

I just started to work out myself about a week ago. I am tired of being fat and out of shape.

Right now, I am 6'4" @235 with a 36"waist and 48" chest.

In my first week of anti-laziness: Bench-135x15, curl-95x15, leg press 400xunlimited.....no more weights, so I do 400 with each leg solo till I get tired.

Thats all the exercises I have done in a week. Maybe I need to read about more workouts, I would love to hit 270-280 at 15%body fat.

I need juice I think...........

 
I didn't read this whole thread, but right from the start you are setting yourself up for failure. You CAN NOT compare your metabolism to the like of anyone else. Everyone doesn't fill out the same way.

ME: Weighed 135 for YEARS...........

What I took: MASS XXX, and a multi enzyme dietary supplement.

What I changed in my diet: Nothing

I started out eating normally, then I would take 1 16oz shake mixed with water (MASS XXX), due to me being lactose intolerant. The MASS XXX adds about 750 calories to your daily intake. It also adds 50g of protein. After about 3 weeks, I had gained almost 6 pounds. I stll wasn't happy, so I added some 100% WHEY PROTEIN, which adds about 20g of protein per serving. I would take about 4 of these per day with 8oz of water. I think that this really did the trick. I don't know how long I was taking the combination of the three, but I gained almost 13 before I realized anything. If I were to guess, I would say that I did that combination over 2.5 months?

To gain mass, you have to eat BIG!

Also, make sure you have funds aside, weight gain can cost you a lot of money for supplements and shakes.

 
n.o. plasmacore, and mass xxx...juice is for the lame-o P*SSIES that don't want to put in the time, but most importantly won't retain the size as long. seen it, been put right up in my face...and still am 100% clean. just gotta' hit it hard, man...good luck!

You say juice is for the weak, but.....

I am old, and in poor condition physically. I am healthy as can be, but do not want to take 5 years to get swole, and have to buy expensive supplements.

What is wrong with me working out normal for a month to increase my flexibility and natural strength, then hitting 1 cycle of Andro? After I realize my potential gains, I honestly think that I will continue working out, and be in love with my new shape.

Right now, I have started taking:Centrum with Lycopene, 500mcg B-12 x2daily, and 65mg iron x2daily.

I eat about 60-100mg of protein a day, just a guess. I live off of red meat and peanut butter though.

I have limited time to hit the weights, so I need to maximize my gains in a short timeframe every day. I have access to the free weights 4 days a week for free, so what would be a good plan?

Anybody here use cyto gain? I am thinking about using it... I'm 18, 135 lbs, and 5'10". I can max out the bench at 140, so I'm not too out of shape. I really just want to put on weight, and I break my work outs down into chest/tri's, back/bi's/shoulders,traps, then break. It's going good but I'm curious about this cyto gain. Everything looks good, as far as I can see you just take 4 scoops after working out. However there's like 50% cholesterol in those 4 scoops. That's kind of ridiculous... what do you guys think of it?

 
I started going to gym actively back in February. I've made good gains and gained a small amount (~5lbs). Problem is there are plenty of people I see who are literally twice my size (like in mass) yet I do the same/on par weight for workouts. My brother, older than me, like two inches shorter, little heavier, only beats me on some chest stuff not by alot though ( incline/decline/flat bench) everything else I do the same weight if not a little more than him. Yet he's got mass to him.
Like my biceps are tiny compared to alot of people but I do the same weight as them.

Anything I can take to help me gain mass in my arms/chest/legs? My whole life I've been a skinny twig and now I'm finally filling out but not like I want to. Everybody notices etc but I just want to fill out more. I do take in about 30-35g average daily of protein plus many vitamins etc etc. I do chest/tri's on Monday/Thursday. Legs/shoulders Tuesday/Friday. Back/bi's Wed/Saturday. Sunday off.

not going to read every page but i took creatine, gained 20 lbs in 4-5 months and noticeable mass.

also IMO as a wrestler, weight pounding strength has nothing on cardio and muscle and endurence

I made a difference in less than a year. A very significant difference at that. I am not old at all, I know that, but if you put in the work, you'll see results, regardless of age.

Start taking any type of hormone/prohormone and watch your body go out of whack in the future. The fact that you're older is even more of a reason not to take them. You WILL do damage to your liver, and you WILL lose your natural testosterone production (which because of age, is already deteriorating/declining to begin with). So when you get off your cycle, you'll get b1tch tits. Lovely...

SO, put in plenty of work over a period of time and have yourself stay healthy AND fit at the same time, with the ability for it to stay like that for a period of time.

OR... lose the little natural testosterone your old *** is currently producing, and lose whatever hard gains you made in that short amount of time to b1tch tits.

lmfao im 137 5' 9" and max bench 200, max hand clean 190 and squat just under 300 (couldnt quite get it after a full work out so take that as you will) (also that is at a full 90 degrees as marked by a bungee cord marking the bottom of my squat)

I kept records of my 5x5 programs when I did them. This summer I recently started keeping a record of EVERY set/weight/reps. helps keep me motivated to always try to lift more than my last workout.
