weight lifting

so squats are basically where i take a barbell put it on my should and squat? does that create a lot of pressure on the knee? i severly injured my knee in high school and i wana try not to strain it, so that's why i do leg extensions
leg extensions are great for strengthening your knee. i've severly injured mine, too. if you have the right form in your squats, it shouldn't strain it.

get the protein powder big bottle at walmart, the bottle where you see the guy flexing his back muscles and get creatine powder too, creatine makes you do more reps and also brings water to your muscles to help them recover faster and boost protein synthesis which is why you take protein with it and the protein will taste like crap so go for vanilla flavor its better than the choclate flavored butt one. i had a workout phase last year and got pretty impresive gains with benching with all that and eating eggs and meat alot so do how ever much of that you want to

The soreness is a result of Lactic Acid production for cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is the process of producing ATP (energy) and is summarized as such:

Glycolysis

Pyruvate Oxidation

Kreb Cycle

Electron Transport Chain

This is all with the presence of Oxygen, and during strenuous workouts, the body goes into oxygen debt and must precede cellular respiration without oxygen. This results in a detour during the whole procedure and moves onto Lactic Acid Fermentation which recycles NADH into NAD+ so that the body can keep producing energy with glycolysis only.

i thought creatine was for people who wanted to add mass
http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/creatine/creatine-benefits.htm

To summarize:

More energy during workouts due to ATP regeneration, Enhanced strength during workouts, Less dependence on glycolysis - reducing lactic acid, Quick weight gain in just weeks (if you're new to creatine)

I take creatine, and although I dont notice increased energy, I do notice quite a bit strength increase and I have been gaining a lot more. Just remember to drink a gallon (128 ounces) or more of water a day if ur on creatine, but if u are active you really should be drinking that much regardless

creatine is not good
makes you cranky and tight
I notice none of that on creatine, I believe u are referring to those people who supplement with testosterone boosters/tribulus. That will definitely affect your mood. Ive never heard of anyone going off from being on creatine, but who knows i suppose it is possible.

As for the rumors saying it makes your balls/penis shrink, STEROIDS make your balls shrink, creatine has no adverse side effects except UNLESS u dont drink enough water, you could have problems with your prostate or numerous other problems, but as long as u stay hydrated u should be fine. I notice only on days I havent had any more than a couple cups of water, I get pains in my nether region lol. My friend had to quit taking creatine because he didnt drink enough water one day and he had some prostate issues. Just drink plenty of water.

Immediately after starting creatine, I went from weighing 22? to 235 in just a matter of weeks. My bench press max increased from 275 to 315 in about 6 weeks. Creatine FTW. Only thing I noticed that was negative was muscle cramps... which is why its stated above that you need to drink plenty of water.
