Want to run ORION 2500d but a question?

Jus wondering if I ran 2 Orion 10" h2's at 2ohms would be healthy running on 1 Orion 2500d? Im not trying to fry or over heat my amp. Jus give me some good advise and will this shit work good. Will also be putting in a 3 farad cap and im running red top optima battery up front. Jus to let u kno. Thanks.......................

Yeah, that'd be fine. Make sure you get dual 2s if you want 2 ohms.

Today i talked to a tech from Directed which is the company which makes the Orion brand, and he said that it wouldnt be good for me to run both of those 10's on that amp, i would need 2 amps because my subs are 2 ohms. I just dont want no problems with my system. I jus want it to slam. So im jus thiking about running (1) 10 or buying to of the h2 12's at 4ohms so i can be out here dumping for the spring.

The amp will run fine @.5 ohm. And trust me it will run under that fine also

You have to remember that a 0.35 load doesnt mean much after you get the woofers in box and in car. Imp will vary once installed. Generally rising.

Not too mention that I ran One @ 0.4 actual for music, alot of full tilt, in my truck for about 3 days. You HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO be able to feed that amp a good supply when running it so low though.

Original poster: the tech was trying to:

a.) point out that you would only be feeding about 800rms to each woofer

-or-

b.) trying to up sell you.

It'll be fine. If you want louder, you will need more wattage (box dependant).

I want louder. I think i might run (2) 12.4 h2's i seen a few people do that and it being very fine but (1) 10.2 still slams pretty good in my vehicle for running about 1000 watts to it. I was inpressed

Keep in mind, that if you amplifier is only able to pull 120amps... you are not going to produce the power that you think you are.

Yo daytonboi keep me updated on those h2 cause im think about buying them but alot of people on here says the sq on it sucks and they'll blow in a couple months????
