Want The best & exact box specs. Best suitted for you and your sub?

Needed - (Sub Make and Model Number) please be exact eg. instead of (Type-r) (please say Alpine Type R SWR-1242D) and how many
(1) Diamond Audio D310D4

would you like high spl (desired SPL??please give) or extened low-freq. bass
SQL

your approx. box dimenions or largest possible.
Width 3' 2-3/4"

Depth (min 9-1/2") (max 12")

Height (min 12") (max 14")

Ported or sealed or bandpass. (if ported, slots or round ports? and how many you want)(desired Tuning Freq.)
Slot port (1)

Subwoofer Wiring.
(Dual 4ohm VC) Wired to 2 ohms

Would you like to follow comp recomendations for box type and size? or do you want your own?
Would like own

BTW, what's the program?

so in this thread u are givin our spec for u to design a box for us

well then i need a box for a 1995 camaro to put in the t-top area

i have

1 12" dvc 2ohm solobaric

SQ not spl

box is 36"W x 15"L x 12"H slanted down to 6"H

ported- 2 round ports

dual 2ohm VC wired to 2 ohms

comp recommendations and own please

yea what is the program

Port: 11.5 (H) x 3 (W) x 8.80602924524359 (D)Port Materials.

2 - Sides - 11.5" (H) x 0.75" (thick)(W) x 8.26696343779791 (D)

Tuned @ 37Hz Cut-Off Freq. - 29.94Hz

always remember to round-off port edges.
Quit while you're ahead. If you were truly designing boxes, you wouldn't give someone a dimension of 8.8 inches. Plugging numbers into a program and getting theoretical numbers does NOT equate to enclosure design.

I'm assuming he is using LEAP.
It's either something quite expensive such as SpeaD or LEAP, or something cheap and rudimentary like ProBox. Either way, he's just plugging in numbers and isn't giving out dimensions you can cut without a CNC router.

U musn't know math to well if you believe that I would say "cut" 8.8" ........8.8" is from edge to edge of the port. placing the wall internally shortens it by 0.75". and I am sorry "I" don't round off the number for you. + why not use a table saw to make that cut. + Encosure is designed for the sub. designing it by "the car" isn't smart. you just need your max dimensions that you want it to be. Information from graphs are VERY accurate. I don't just punch in. you want it proper ill spend the time.

So, if the side is truly 8.8" long, and you place it internally (which you should specify before people waste a sheet of wood wondering how the box is supposed to be assembled), that means that you have a panel of 8.05 inches. Assuming that this is correct, that means your opposite side is 7.3". Am I correct here? You cannot cut a panel that is 7.3" long on any basic ruler of measure. Common measurements are done in 1/8s, not in the 10 trillionth's like you posted. If you're going to do this for people (which I normally like), at least let them be able to cut the panels.

And if you truly believe that you shouldn't consider the vehicle AND the speaker when designing a box, I'm not surprised by the preceding at all.

Oh come on! Why'd you have to go and tell me the price? Now I'ma start eyeballing them.

Recoil 2500.1 $179 2500 x 1 @ 1 ohm. Make sure subs are the dual 4 ohm version. If you don't want that much power, get the Recoil red1200.1 for 1...

Have an Xli 2500 as a sub amp in the music room, overkill for sure, never overheats, never skips a beat.
