a 16v setup charges at 18 to 19.3 depending on user seting on the external regulator and the kinetiks are 3 post 1 ground 1 12volt and one 16 volt side system off the 16v side 12 side on car/truck all alts charge 16v the battery acts like a step down cause the 12 volt side is hook up a couple cells early equils less power new concept but for it to work without a problem you need all the batterys to be link at all three post groung all together 12 volt all together 16 volt all together so you dont get a voltage differenchale and burn up batteries that why they burn up a bubble up inproper use and install im doing 4 270 amps alts and 8 kinetik 16vs in my truck but charging at 18.5 to keep the wear and tear on them down and bus baring them right by my amps 7 batts in back 1 up front 1 oga ran from the 12 volt side to the bus bared batterys in back 12v side and 4 5 runs all the way back 1 of each alt and one of the front batterys 16v side and one run from one alt to front battery and 1 or more oga ground from the alt brack to the back batterys and 2 runs from back batterys to frame and there a ground from the bracket to the frame and to the alt bracket and to the front battery = charge system from hell lol
