I just installed a new stinger 10 farad hybrid cap. It's got an adjustable voltage dial.. does anyone know where I should set it at? I've got it at 14.4 right now. The only reference i saw in the manual said "working voltage"=16DCV and "surge voltage"=18DCV.. Should I turn it up till it displays 16? any help would be much appreciated.

I might be a actual read out and you use the dial to calibrate it properly. Use a DMM
good idea.. I don't think it is though, but it cant hurt.. still, according to the Stinger manuals specs it's designed to operate at 16vdc.. I cant find anything in my orion hcca 2500 manual (thats all the caps running)that says anything about max voltage.. it only mentions standard 14.4... I don't wanna fry anything, ya know.. thanks for the input bro. Anybody else thats got any I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
