Voltage problem

Alright, I am trying to set my gains on my amp right now. It is a RD 1750.1. I have 1 D2 RD Sonance that I'm going to run at 1 ohm off the amp. Im using my dmm and putting it in the speaker terminals on the amp. I want to set the amp to 1000 watts and the voltage I need for that is 31.6. I turned my car on, put in a 60 hz tone and put volume up to 45/62. When I begin to turn the gain up slowly to reach 31.6, the numbers go up very slowly. I turned the gain up all the way to see what it would be at and it only read 31 volts. This could be some stupid mistake I'm making but I have no idea. HELP PLEASE. and thank you.

Like on the pioneer Hu the Rca sub outputs have a level adjustment. it should be in the setting's

where you adjust the bass, mid, and treble ...It might be called (SW) or something like that

What he is saying is that the outputs from your head unit could be sending the amp the wrong signal look at the instructions and see if you have the rca's hooked up into the right output and all.

sounds alot like a sony amp i used to have.. claims 200 watts rms... does a real 160.. but you have to be giving it at least 2 volts for it to go that high.. if your headunit did less, the amp wouldnt even put that out

Yeah^^^ that too, but I didnt think he would have the subs RCA's plugged into...Like the front rca out... But you never know LOL

HEY try this! unplug the sub put only the multi meter into the amp and turn the deck ALL the way up, turn off all those other things like loudness or bbe or wat the **** ever is on your deck. jsut turn the volumn to max and then play with the gain once you get the gain set to where you want it plug the sub in and pound away! the RD amps are made similiar to sundown amps! hit me with a p/m to see what is up!
