Voltage dropping on my truck

Got my Sundown amp today and was hoping to install, but here in the last few days my Silverado is dropping voltage considerably when I left off the gas to make a turn and after I hit the brake coming to a stop sign. The voltage will drop to almost 10volts on my instrument gauge for around 2 seconds then raises back up to normal. It almost feels like my truck is gonna die when it drops. BTW this is with no amp in place and the AC isnt even on. Whats causing this?

make sure your battery terminals are nice and tight, as well as any other ground/power connections (for any amps and whatnot)

this is a pretty common happening with GM trucks and SUV's. Make sure all power/ground spots are real snug, otherwise voltage/idle dips will happen.

I had the same problem when i first bought my truck hehe. I was scared something was all screwed up.

true true check your ish

bring it to autozone they can do a battery and alt test for ya but something sounds terribly wrong, how old is the batt?
Its probably about a year old. My first redtop wouldn't hold a charge after 3-4 years and I got a warranty replacement redtop thats in my truck now. This truck has always had a system since I bought it new back in 2000.
