i dont know if that would be terribly accurate. but just give it switched and constant power and ground...

don't know much about those terminology... diagram tells more than a few words if you got one

3 wires:

One is ground

One goes to the battery

One goes to a switched power source (eg, ignition)

where do i find that wire?

if i hook up the + and - from the battery to the + and ground wire, will that work?

It all depends on how many wires there are. I looked @ the manufacturers' website, and it didnt say.

If there are only 2 wires, then one is ground and one is switched. A switched wire can be found many places. Fuse box, anything that turns on only when the key is turned (ignition)

Fuse taps would be the easiest.
