van system??

hey my dad just gave me his old 78 dodge van. so my first thought is that since i cant make it fast i gotta make it LOUD. so i was thinking 3 500wrms 12s and some 1500wrms amp to power them. i dont know what 12s to go with though, thats where u guys come in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. im more of an spl guy rather than sq so maybe something with a 40/60 or 30/70 sq/spl ratio. also im lazy so i'd preffer the box type to be sealed(i.e. one big box with 3 sealed chambers) since it'll be easier for me to build it. and i dont think i wanna spend more than 300 per sub but cheaper is always better. but yea thats all i can think of right now so thanks for ur help ahead of time.

I think you could get plenty loud with sealed...assuming you have three subs and 1500 watts, but there is no doubt that ported is louder

true but things made in usa are hard to come by maybe not in the subwoofer world but anywhere else it is. What about dd's they are made in the us of a but cost alot, not sure of the price.

I will second the suggestion of the SE's (they are 600watts RMS)...but if you really want to spend what you have you could go with eD A's, more pricey than the SE's but they will get much louder and sound pretty darn good

EDIT: the A's would not be reaching their full potential with a little over 500 watts per sub, but they will still get plenty loud
