I really need new tires. I have my priorities wrong and want to go ahead and get used tires.

I can get 2 Perle's that looks new and 2 Goodyear that looks 50%+ for 125$ mounted and balanced.

I'd save up for new or just get new ones up front this year new ones in the rear next year.

Used tires are always a big risk. Are you going to a tire place, or just a junk yard? If you goto a tire store, make sure you ask to inspect the tires yourself b4 they are mounted. Salepeople are more then likely to simply withhold info about patches, dryrot, loose belts etc. in an effort to make the sale.

Save for new... You do not know anything about the tires that they are going to put out. How about if the set of tires they put on have a tire pull. You take it notice the pull bring it back they say its somthin else now your in a scam kindof deal. Also like the other guy you dont know how many patches are on the tire. To many not a good thing for tire.

Over all just save for new tires....

Just inspect the used ones. Are you buying from a reputable place?
