ill rep sundown proudly. have i owned all amps or even a US amp? no, but i didnt say anything bad about US, i just state what i know about the products i have owned. sundown is an amzing product, are there more amazing products out there for the money? i dont know because i havent tried them. but i am very satisfied with all of the sundown products i have owned.

How am i a nut hugger i said i have ran all i sale sundown i sale dd i have ran all sundown is up to par and pretty **** clean sounding...Dont run come back and telll me how me running all three means nothing because i dont agree with 06 without any proof to pick apart..Also i think your 06's fan boy he is just trying to get his post count up..

I don't know that dude from a WHOLE IN THE WALL. I'm definitely not his fan boy. I on the other hand have read NOTHING BUT GREAT stuff about the Sundown amps, and would run them in a second if I were redoing my setup. I just think that when someone comes along with a different opinion how quick everyone is to jump on his shit when all they have are THEIR OPINIONS as well. Trying to push them off as FACT is exactly what the 06 dude is doing.

i push it off cause i have ran all the amps he has mentioned and i can tell you sundown is not what he says there are many posts on sites that shows the proof that amp does what it says and then some.Also we all ask he does the same to prove what he got and then we could go from there talk is talk but i have ran all and have an honest opinion i love us amps but the sundown is right there with it....Thanx and have a good day

read and once again don't see anything to disprove what the 06 guy said.....he said the amp won't do a CLEAN (unclipped) 3kw...NOWHERE In the test does it have the THD or any reference to whether the power was clipped or not....

Doing unclipped vs. clipped power testing is probably something you will never see done. Too many variables to take into account, differences in test equipment calibrations etc... Its just not going to be done, and if it did it would likely hurt a lot of peoples feelings so you just aren't going to see it done. I personally don't have the time for such BS but if someone wants to open up a "amp testing firm" then you go right ahead, test EVERYONE's products and post results. Does the SAZ-3000D produce a clean unclipped signal of ~3000 watts into a 1 ohm load? Even I don't know if it can or can do more than that. There are too many variables to take into consideration.

NOW, what you CAN take into consideration is 06salterego's CLAIM of gaining 1.5dB going from a SAZ-3000D to a DD Z1. I am calling BS on that. That is a good test of power output, clipped or unclipped doesn't matter. If he was able to do 1.5dB more with 1 amp vs the other then there is something GREATLY different about the two amps. And I am calling BS because I have seen the insides of both amps, to prove this I will post a pic in a minute, of a DDZ1 on my desk, and there is not that much difference in the guts of the DDZ1 vs the SAZ-3000D. Now there would be a large difference aprox 30% more power output from a DDZ1a than a SAZ-3000D, but NOT the DDZ1.

And screw anyone who says I hug nutz, I don't hug nobodys nutz. Anyone who really knows me or has dealt with me much knows that I am far from a nuthugger and tell it like it is to the best of my own personal knowledge....

When we had an o-scope on the 3000s we got 3030 watts at 1.32 ohms actual - on a hand-held scope - this IS mentioned in the SSA amp test thread in an update from August of 2007, by the way.

As I said earlier we don't know if his equipment is calibrated (or even the one we used), what the tolerance is, etc. Simply not professional grade equipment.

We also had a different battery bank and 8v pre-outs from an Eclipse HU - maybe the difference is in the HU output and gain structure ? Maybe it is in the supply voltage.

What I DO know is that customers are overwhelmingly happy with the product. There are so many variables in these home brew tests for someone to come on here and claim it should be called an SAZ-2500D based on his hand-held o-scope test.
