underhood fuse box question/big 3

your cars battery + and alt + is routed through the fuse box underneath the hood (battery + to fuse box, then alternator + to other side of fuse box). when upgrading your big 3 can you route your wire either way. straight from the alt + to battery +, or route it just like it is through the fuse box? because everything i have seen and always done was alt + to battery +, but was wondering if you can route it through the fuse box like it currently is?

how would you fit 1/0 into the factory fuse box?

you are better off just running it direct to the battery.

there are terminals on the end, then other wires lead into the fuse box

I would imagine, depending on the size of the stock fuse, that it would have to be run direct. You don't want to put 150A+ through that fuse box.

leave the stock wiring through the fuse box, and add another run going to the battery, fused

thats what i normally do, but i am asking can you run your big 3 through your fuse box, to give all your other components less resistance

You do not want to put that much current through the factory fuse box. It can make funny stuff to happen.
