Well i had my 2 type r 12's in a ported box with 500 to them and just wasnt impressed with SQ or SPL really --so i put just one of them in a 1.5 sealed box with 9oo rms to them !!!!!!!!now im impressed sounded like a dif sub.my ? is is the 1.5 sealed to big???? would i get warmer and tighter bass plus the 1.5 wont fit in my mustang???.

Bah, no such thing as "too big" when it comes to SQ. Lower Q in a larger sealed enclosure means a flatter response across a large bandwidth.

i wouldnt run 900 watts to 1 type R for an extended period of time...

I think a smaller box will better suit the driver with 900rms

thats what i think i have my gains turned up about 1/2 way plus im not a boom boom car i listen to metal

ok i can see that now. its not as bad as i thought. but still my friend put in some metal the other day (im a rap and reggae guy) and when the bass hit it really suprised me. shit was like lil jon but rock haha. but yea i guess most just doesnt have that much bass.

it will slam shyt like korn , slipknot but its set up is more speed metal..fast tight ,higher freq bass
